New online training makes it easier to organise “Help child, help family” collections 🇫🇮 🇸🇪 🇬🇧

Lions District B has published a new digital training course that provides clear guidelines and best practices for “Help a Child, Help a Family” collections. The course is aimed at both volunteers and collection coordinators/collection officers and will help you prepare for the different stages of a collection.

Why attend the training?

  • You will gain the knowledge and skills to act as a volunteer or a collection organiser.
  • You will learn how to present the collection to the shop owner and get him/her involved.
  • You will have access to tips from experienced fundraisers.
  • Get ready-to-use templates and materials for your collection.

Two courses for different needs

  1. Volunteer course (12-20 min)
    • Gives you the basic skills to act as a collection volunteer.
    • Check it out before going to your first collection.
    • Includes short videos and exercises.
  2. Organiser’s course (approx. 1 – 2h)
    • A comprehensive guide to planning and running a collection.
    • Plan your own collections while getting advice and ready-made templates.
    • Tips and best practices from experienced organisers.
